Expert tips to extend the life of your premium floral arrangement. Learn the secrets that professional florists use to keep flowers fresh.

A luxury bouquet is an investment in beauty. With proper care, premium blooms can last 10–14 days — sometimes longer. Here's exactly how we care for flowers at our studio, and how you can do the same at home.
When your bouquet arrives, unwrap it immediately and place the stems in room-temperature water. Avoid cold water for tropical varieties. Remove any foliage that falls below the waterline — submerged leaves accelerate bacterial growth.
Trim approximately 2cm from each stem at a 45-degree angle. This creates more surface area for water uptake. Use sharp scissors or a clean floral knife — never dull shears, which crush the stem cells.
Keep your arrangement away from direct sunlight, heating vents, and ripening fruit. Ethylene gas from fruit accelerates petal drop. A cool room with indirect light is ideal.
Change the water every two days and re-trim the stems each time. Use the flower food sachet we include — it contains sugar for nutrition, acidifier to improve uptake, and biocide to control bacteria.
